The bearings are ready to be removed. Notice that the large (rear crankshaft support) bearing is severely damaged! The ball cage is destroyed. This is very common on engines that don't get after-run oil, and/or run too lean too long, also engines that rev up beyond the structural limit of the bearings.
Heat the circumfrence of the bearing support as illustrated in PHOTO 10. Then tap the crankcase on a block of wood (using pliers) to drop the inner bearing as seen in PHOTO 11 the bearing will drop out as seen in photo 12. If it doesn't drop out... add more heat.
The small prop hub bearing may be removed with a drift punch or similar tool inserting it through the backside of the crankcase and tapping it forward.
